About
JP Bikes is all about you! Creating a tight knit community of bikers at all levels is the core of our mission. We strive to provide the following for Jamaica Plain and the surrounding neighborhoods of Boston:
* A place for anyone interested in riding – from the avid commuter to families that bike in the summer, and everyone in between – to converge and get to know each other.
* A source for bike education, including safety, bike care, and any other topics that are of interest to the community.
* A way for locals to voice and act on their concerns regarding the state of biking in Boston. We will work together to coordinate efforts to tell the City of Boston what needs improvement, what’s working great, and anything else we think they need to know about. By acting as a group we can show them how important cyclists are to this city!
* A great source for maps and rides in and out of JP. We’ll have several big events every year, many in coordination with other great local organizations like Bikes Not Bombs and Ferris Wheels. But we’re also providing a forum and maps so you can add your own best routes and see what paths others have tried, and directly plan your own rides and meetups!
